PDFill PDF and Image Writer is a free tool that will generate a high-quality PDF file out of almost any Windows-based document just by sending it to a PDFill virtual printer. Its extensive set of tools allows you to customize and optimize the output PDF file before being created. Besides, you can also create high-quality PNG, JPG, BMP, TIF, and GIF images out of any printable document.

PDFill PDF Writer installs a virtual printer subsystem, which generates professional PDF files using GhostScript. You can create PDF documents out of any Windows-based file (HTML, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, AutoCad, and more) just by sending it to the PDFill PDF&Image Writer virtual printer. This will trigger the application’s interface and create the PDF document. This free utility includes an extensive list of output options that allow you to optimize the resolution and quality of the output document, with built-in settings for screen viewing, e-books, printing documents, and prepress-quality PDFs. You can also decide on the layout of the resulting PDF by changing the resolution of fonts and images, by rotating and cropping the pages, or by setting the way the document will be viewed when opened. You can also add security features and metadata to your PDFs.

If when sending a document to the virtual printer you select PDFill Image Writer instead, the application will generate an image of each of the pages included in the original document. The output formats supported are PNG, JPG, BMP, TIF, and GIF, and each of these offers a number of settings to customize the output quality. Depending on the format selected, you will be allowed to set different image options and resolution values (dpi). Images can be rotated and flipped (vertically or horizontally). The TIF output allows you to put all images in a single document, while the other available formats will create individual numbered files for each page.
